Gun Hill Signal Station

Gun Hill Signal Station is the largest and most important of the six signal stations that were built in Barbados in 1818 to communicate with each other and warn of enemy ships or slave rebellions. Located on a hilltop in St. George, it offers stunning views of the island and the capital city Bridgetown.

I took this tour on a Friday. Jamar was there early ready for pickup at the appointment time. It was well planned route and got to see a lot of the island as well as touring four square distillery with tasting. The route we took to tour the island visited North Coast, East Coast, South Coast and a drive along highway 1 back to West Coast where I was staying.The four square tour was amazing lots of detail and history about the distillery and the impact it had on the island.
